Lock and key

I was cleaning the office the other day and I found a key. I didn't remember what it unlocked so I put it in a jar where I keep all of my spare keys. That way when I find a lock that I seem to have lost the key for, I start by trying the keys from that jar.

Which would you prefer? A lock that you don't have a key for or a key that you don't have a lock for?
