Verbs

Austin Kleon shares ten simple rules for how to stay creative in his book, Keep Going. One rule that has reemerged in my life recently is rule #3: "Forget the noun, do the verb."

"Let go of the thing that you're trying to be (the noun), and focus on the actual work you need to be doing (the verb). Doing the verb will take you someplace further and far more interesting."

This is a good rule to keep in mind as the year draws to a close and we start to look forward to the next year.
